Our History
Most of our history has yet to be written. We are a young, family upstart based in the heart of horse country, Versailles, Kentucky. Ellison Native Seed & Sprout was founded in the summer of 2025 as a seed germination and plant propagation nursery serving both commercial and public customers in the greater Central Kentucky region. We're taking our first steps towards transforming a hobby into a business with a greater purpose as we purvey not just plants but tiny pieces of our natural history in the Commonwealth.
Our Selection
We specialize in trees, shrubs, and perennials native to the Kentucky region, currently producing over 40 species from seed or bulb. We also carry a selection of seasonal annuals, popular non-native ornamentals, and vegetable garden staples. Our volume and selection will change season to season but we will always do our best to get you what you need, when you need it.
